I was inspired by the very lovely ELF quad Nymph Dreams. I love the green in the quad so I decided to create something that could be executed using the quad. Funny thing is, I don't own Nymph Dreams, haha, but I need to! What is your favorite ELF product?

LA Colors Eyeshadows

Using only my LA Colors eyeshadow palettes from Dollar Tree I decided to create something a little dramatic. This was an interesting experience in that I was not sure how well the shadows would work....Let me explain, I have used only 1 or 2 colors by themselves in the past but since I was incorporating a few colors for this look, I had a few doubts (like pigmentation, blending)....

My feelings were wrong, these shadows are really nice....together! I guess with a little imagination and patience (some shadows are hard to work with!) you can create something nice....

To start off, I contoured the eyes with a satiny soft light brown color found on the LA Colors 'Traditional' palette. I then covered the entire lid with a soft purple shade from the 'Chic' palette. I'm not sure why I chose this color, at the time I thought it would stand out but as you can see from the picture the color soon faded. For the crease and outer 'V' I applied a shimmery chocolate color from the 'Darling' palette....

For more depth and to increase the 'smoky' of the look, LA Colors mineral e/s in black was added to the outer 'V' and crease blending just slightly in.

For highlight, I just used the lightest white pearl color from the Traditional palette, but honestly any light color from any of the palettes will suffice as a highlight color.

For a pop of color I added a magenta maroonish color from 'Fabulous' on the lower lashline

Eyes:
UDPP
On the Lid - 2
Contour area - 1
Crease- 3 and LA Colors minerals eyeshadow 'Black'
Highlight - the 'White pearl' color from the Traditional palette
lower lashline - 4 and Sephora Eyebrow #2 pencil
Maybelline line stiletto
Loreal Voluminous mascara

Face:
Revlon Colorstay Golden Caramel
Prescriptives Camo concealer
LA Colors blush Spice

Lips:
Santee lipliner Flush Red
Nicka K lipstick 'Wicked'

My favorite product out of any of the LA Colors line from Dollar Tree happens to be the nail polishes and lipsticks... And if I could pick one more favorite it would be the 'Traditional' e/s palette. What are your favorite Dollar Tree makeup products?

Have a great weekend everyone!

Silvery Eyes w/ Brown FOTD

Incredibly easy to do! but I didn't feel like going all out with this FOTD, meaning I didn't apply finishing powder only because lately my skin has been severely dry which is odd since I have naturally oily skin, so I wanted to pamper my skin a bit with the natural oils of my skin & the MAC Studio Fix Fluid. I hope you all like it! I've been neglecting my HG shadow in Folie so I wanted to use it & decided to pair it with the Strip by Urban Decay.

What I used....

I made a MAC quad! plus EOTD

Hi everyone! I hope everyone is enjoying this last weekend of August, September is just around the corner & I can't wait for the leaves to fall off of trees and cold weather to start rolling in! So, yesterday I was bored and wanted to design a quad out of some MAC shadows that I already had. I figured that I would use them more since I tend to overlook my palettes. I also had to mark the bottoms of alot of them since I depotted them.I came up with these colors! I literally sat at my vanity for about an hour trying out, marking my hand and swatching several eyeshadows to come up with this quad, the results are magnifico! I love the way each and every shadow compliments each other and better yet, the quad is so versatile :)

So without further ado, here is 'Hey', 'Pink Venus', 'Carbon', and 'Antiqued' - All MAC eyeshadows.

I was really surprised because Pink Venus is a lustre, which in my opinion my experiences with other lustre colors happens to be too bitty and flaky, almost too glittery, but this formula of Pink Venus is very smooth, almost feels like a frost. 'Hey' is a veluxe pearl but has the look of a frost. 'Carbon' is a matte black color and I believe Antiqued is a frost.
Here is an EOTD using this quad.... Loooooooves it!!!!
Hope you enjoy! Here is a list of what I used:
-Maybelline Pure Makeup medium 4
-Physicians formula mineral powder Buff Beige
-SK concealer daytime
-NYX jumbo e/s pencil Milk
-MAC PPot Fresco Rose
-my MAC quad
-UDPP
-Loreal Deep Mocha for eyebrows
-Revlon CS eyeliner
-Lancome Cils Design mascara
