Favorites of the Month

So, who is ready for autumn? One of the reasons why I love the month of August is because it really is the transition month for fall….the weather changes a bit, school starts, stores stock up on Halloween and fall décor, and fall makeup collections come out, can’t get enough of that!

To kick off my August Favorites post, I wanted to share a bit of joy with you about a palette that I’ve been swooning over like a diabetic in a candy store ;) It’s the Traditional Palette by LA Colors. Boy, if I would have known that this palette would be my go-to for everyday simple neutral looks I would have bought a whole case! Ok, maybe not a whole case, but maybe 2 or 3 backups? And they are only $1, sweet deal!

It has almost everything you need for a nice natural look perfect for the day at the office or in my case, a day at the clinic.

Signature mineral foundation- This is my old-school mineral go-to back when I first started collecting makeup. Their samples is what started it all, but because of my ‘rekindling’ I have decided to order the full size jars. I love this foundation because it gives your skin a glow, perfect coverage and doesn’t feel cakey or dry. Honestly I prefer Signature over Everyday minerals anytime.

Bonne Bell liplites in Strawberry Parfait- I own about 5 or 6 of these and never did I think to wear the lightest one for work of fear that I’d look like I sprinkled pink powder on my lips but actually this color is really nice! While it does look like a really light pink in the tube, on my lips it becomes really neutral and pretty....

Shu Uemura lash curler- I have never really liked the lash curler for the simple fact that my lashes are super strait. Up to this point, not a single thing could curl my lashes, I’ve even thought of perming them! When I had a bad experience with a really cheap lash curler I promised to never use one ever again…. it used to pinch me after which I would call it every name in the book…..But this one I like love!

Jane Blush in Blossom 02- What happened to all the jane stuff? Alot of their blushes seemed to be pretty popular among makeup junkies but then came the day they went on clearance and were discontinued. Anywho, I found a stash of jane products at walmart while vacationing on the coast and simply put, I love this blush! The color is a cute light pink with just a hint of coral.

Kat Von D liquid eyeliner- Since becoming a self-proclaimed liquid eyeliner application pro I've pushed myself to try out other brands of liquid eyeliner. Clinique, thumbs down. ELF, thumbs down. But Kat Von D? 2 thumbs up! :) I got this in a dark brown called Immortal Love, totally digging the names and she has a variety of colors to choose from. The applicator is a brush not felt-tip.

Estee Lauder Individualist makeup- Unfortunately not sold at EL counters but the trusty CCO's happen to carry it. What I love about this makeup is that it is supposedly sheer, but actually covers flaws beautifully. Natural and light, this tube of wonder will always be a favorite of mine next to MAC SFF.

Well, there you have it, my favorites for the month of August. Now I must get back to taking out my halloween decorations stash. hahaha, I begin decorating September 1st!

Which beauty product have you been using a lot of lately?

Most Loved Makeup for February 2010

Faves time!
It isn't much but I think it was due to my current obsession with nail polishes. I'm still doing my makeup everyday but I've been very neutral and simple everyday, nothing that really stands out, which reminds me I have to post a few FOTD's in the next few days...I've been slacking!
Anyways, here is my list, Have a wonderful weekend!

-Physicians Formula bronzer in Baked Bronze, I love using this as a contour and blush, very pretty as it has tiny gold glitter in it, which is sparse so it's not too much.
-MAC PPOT in Blackground and Constructivist, I love using these for my 5 minute makeup face, I grab it with my MAC brush 217 and I can blend away without worrying about fall-out.
-MAC pigment in Provence, Such a nice color for highlight.
-MAC Concealer in NC30, to cover my stupid scars on my forehead from any acne :D
-Bobbi Brown lipstick in Pink Beige, I love using this neutral color because it covers all pigment in my lips and is super creamy, semi-matte and lasts a long time.
-Too Faced lipstick in Totally Nude, One of my absolute faves...I neglected and found it again, now I can't stop wearing it :)

January 2010 Faves

It isn't much but I do have some other items that are constantly my favorite's such as my MAC SFF, my Prescriptives camo concealer and my Urban Decay primer potion...I felt it wouldn't be entertaining to have the same exact things on my faves list each month :) haha, then it wouldn't be called the faves of the month, it would just be my HG list. lol
Anyways, I'm sorry this is so late coming, I took some pics like on the last weekend of January and they all came out blurry, not good. Because my camera has been acting weird, possibly because of the settings, I decided to take this pic in natural lighting, I hope you can see it! I'm hoping to get a better camera sometime next month :)

These are the items that I've been attracted to every day, when I go to work I throw these in my makeup bag and all together creates beautiful results....I just don't have time to take it off if I don't like the way it looks but with these items I can never go wrong! :)

here is my list:
-Cosmedicine Honest Face tinted moisturizer Medium
-Milani Glimmerstrips in Berry Glimmer
-MAC lipstick in Syrup
-Urban Decay lipgloss in Doug
-Line Stiletto by Maybelline
-Covergirl Professional mascara in black

Favorite stuff at the moment! Dec '09

Sonia Kashuk blush brush: Perhaps the best blush brush ever, it is very light and picks up alot of color
Lancome Cils Design PRO mascara: I got this during the Free makeup giveaway settlement last year, I love it due to it's very skinny and narrow wand
Maybelline Line Stiletto: Honestly this was sitting in my car about to be returned when one day I went to work and forgotten eyeliner so I used this and loved it...but only for everyday work looks not for anything else more stable and smearproof!
CG eye single in Forever Fig: Color is original, I have nothing that comes close to duping it. I love it
Urban Decay Deluxe e/s palette: During the holidays I would match my eye makeup w/ my clothes and this palette is perfect for any color combo's
VS lipstick in Satin Sheets: my HG lipstick by VS, they no longer make these so I will need to find a dupe fast!
MAC lipstick in Syrup: About to run out pretty soon!
MAC lipstick in Gilty Kiss: The perfect nude goldish slightly rose color :)
Amuse Pearl eyeshadow palettes:
Ok, here is a lil' story on these. I bought them from a little dollar shop for $1.99 each...let me tell you, these are probably an exact dupe for those MAC Metal Urge creamed shadows. They feel damp to the touch and are super pigmented. The only thing is that you need a good e/s base (such as the UDPP) before applying them. Intense color each and every time :)

Let me know if you have questions!!!!!
