Lip Volumizer, Avon Derma Full

By far one of the worst lip volumizing/lip plumping product. Not only is it over-priced ($15), but the packaging is pretty bad. The product is inside an aluminum squeeze tube much like one that once you squeeze or flatten that cannot be filled with product anymore. The big mistake made by Avon is that the product is too runny for this type of packaging. This sort of packaging is best for thick emollient based creams, like ointments.

First impressions: When I opened the product for the first time the product oozed out on it’s own, without much less squeezing the tube at all....even so I was afraid to even hold the product in my hand for fear that more product would ooze out. I recapped and shook the package in hopes that maybe it just had to be mixed, but got the same 'ooze'. In my opinion, just that 'self oozing' feature is a big waste, largely because for a fact you only need a dab of it to cover your lips, just it oozing out is wasteful since you cant push it back in.

The product contains traces of peppermint oil which can be smelled once it is applied. It has a watery feel and texture, once applied I felt a cooling and tingling sensation for about 5 seconds. Once it is applied it is quickly absorbed and leaves your lips somewhat soft, not moisturized.

Did the product plump up lips? No. As a matter of fact, when I think of Lip Volumizer I think of a lip plumper. If 'lip volumizing' doesn't exactly mean 'lip plumping' in Avons eyes, then what exactly was the lip volumizer suppose to do?

Did the product volumize lips? No

Did the product volumize lips for a brief period of time? No

Did the product change the overall appearance of lips at all? No

Did the product hurt from it’s stinging or tingling effect? No

Would buy again? No

pros: Avon has a great return policy

cons: Product is runny, packaging is bad, over-priced, doesn't do what it says it does

On a scale of one to ten I'd rate: 2

Avon Black/Whitehead remover

What a nifty little tool I recently bought from Avon. For some time now I've been looking for a thingamajig that removed those pesky little black and white heads that refuse to leave after a facial scrubbing!

Avon Black/white head remover (.99cents) comes with a plastic blue carry case. The Blackhead remover is a tiny melon baller shaped end which is about 1/4 of an inch wide with a small hole in the middle.

The Whitehead side on the other end of the tool is a tiny circle-wire like measuring about as small as the blackhead end.

Before usage wipe both ends with rubbing alcohol and wash hands. It's best to use right after showering since pores are open at this time. For blackhead usage I found that the blackhead remover side removes blackheads quite easily. On other days I've had to apply translucent powder on the area of my face due to the blackhead remover sliding around from oils on my skin.

The whitehead end is an absolute pleasure to work with. This end easily removes whiteheads and I've found can double up as a blackhead remover as well, but with patience!

After each use you wipe down and clean off debris with rubbing alcohol. I've found that this is a great tool for allowing a safe removal of black and whiteheads without potential damage to the skin. My pinching fingers did the job of removing black and whiteheads previously which is a huge call for redness and scars! I can really appreciate this little tool and I hope you love it too!

Avon MAX Moisture: Night Cream

Avon products can sometimes get alot of bad rep. I'm not fond of many things from them but some things are worth the try. A few months ago I purchased the Solutions pm Max Moisture night cream and have been loving it ever since. While I do think that $12 for this 1.7 oz container is a little too much, especially for Avon, sometimes they do provide sales in their books which comes out to be a great deal. For example, they recently had a sale of all the solutions products BOGO, mix and match....I ended up buying another MAX Moisture and the matching eye cream...sweet :)

Sure my Clinique DD lotion is a must have for me, I still love to alternate lotions and creams according to my mood. The sweet and fresh but soft and muted smell of the Avon cream is comforting. It keeps my skin soft and moisturizes very well. Never clogging pores or stinging....just pure luxury.

If you like/love Avon, what is your favorite product by them?

On another note, isn't Lady Gaga like the queen of everything lately? Her recent victor at the VMA's concluding to take home 8 awards sent me smiling in my sleep.....And her gorgeous photo shoots and magazine covers, she is exploding popularity like we never imagined :)
She's great, no wonder so many people love her!

...:::my recent addition of Gaga memorabilia....now how can I get my hands on her VOGUE meat bikini cover! : /

This product would be great but only if....

Have you ever tried a product, were so amazed with the results making you all super duper happy but then thought twice about buying it again because of it's packaging or amount, etc...?

mark. Need a shrink? Pore minimizer lotion, $9

The most gripes coming from gals all around is that this tube is way too small (also small for the price) and there is barely any product inside of it, which means it goes empty sooner than you know it. I've been reading the reviews, the thing with these mark skincare 'hook-ups' is that although the idea is great, hooking it up to something else is a little unnessesary don't you think? Especially since a majority say they've experienced problems with the top cap and etc. But most importantly they say they would repurchase but only if they made this container bigger with more product. Yah, I know exactly what is meant by this! Lord knows how many times I've encountered the amount screw-up...haha

So, my question to you is, What product is on your 'would be great but only if' list?
